Can you name this shooting god
haha ! You're right...dont have a clue & have no experience in Ft shoots...dont want to embarras you with a public reply-

    Am clueless...

Let me recall If Im qualified..to add my 2 cents on this forum (didnt realise a pre-requisite is FT regular attendance..I'll check the Forum Rules )

.22 Rimfire - plenty - part of school team in CCF for 5 years - average scores 92+ /100 for 50m.
.303 Lee Enfield- Bisley shooting team & comps for 5 years
    9mm - Sterling - Won a shoot off for 10m , single shot in 1 pence bull's eye
5.56mm FAMAS - Won the inter Regimental team shoot for 200m- 30/30 (can strip the gun blind folded in 47 secs. and re-assemble under 60)
7.62mm - plenty of experience, sadly, no '├â┬žompetition' experience..
.50 - plenty of experience, but no 'competition' experience..

...Mmm what else ? oh yes, been handling Berettas, Glocks, .357 , .44, H&K, whenever I visit the grand parents in California, and shoot at the range.

    Comp experience ? - Whats that ???

For someone with 18 posts who hasnt contributed in terms of sources of info., or interesting banter, who borderline slaps the face of a newbie with a crass comment is certainly a bit of an eye opener...read his words...bad taste...and hardly funny...considering he is a newbie himself with 18 comments .... ...am I the only one who noticed that ? Didnt you ?

As far as 'johnnyi' mod...well its horses for courses...but he has invested $$$ to do something interesting...

Have a nice weekend, and dont let my comments raise your bloodpressure over the weekend shoot ..I wouldnt want you to miss your targets -

He doesn't buy 6ft/lbs target rifles then have them converted to 12ft/lbs even though he's never gonna shoot them does he ??

    I stand by what I said.....YES ! Thats Me guys !!!:D

Methinks "D Hat" comment is sourgrapes due to poor scores ...and possibly lack of action down there ! ... I mean, common, "Walking with the Rottweiler" description as an activity  Is that a subtle hint or what ? isnt there a law against that kind of activity ;)

You are right, Dave's description of walking with a Rottweiler is a poor desription, he should change it to "Being dragged by a massive Rottweiler" so it's definitely an activity.

Even if Dave was a bad shot, which he is far from, I can't see why he should have sour grapes against someone who doesn't actually shoot.

As to getting no action down there.......you've obviously spent too much time stroking your rifles rather than shooting them to think up things like that

    I bow before your eminence...

Didnt realize this was a humour free zone ?

Hope you ALL enjoyed the dig at me- for being only a 'Collector' ...sorry I dont measure upto your grade as a STB member who has yet to sign up for a FT weekend shoot.. Must reread the rules.

There will be collectors, there will competitive shooters, there will be horses for courses, and invariably, there will always be people with sour grapes & gripes for whatever reasons...Shame D Hat had to post a Private Message - publicly- , for moral support & get the gang out to speak on his behalf (reminds me of them public hysteria gang up on whomever, for whatever reason) ...didnt realise he had a poor command of spoken & written English..

    I forgive you ALL ! Peace man ! :D

    Anyway..nuff said.

Jason, Dave does not need anyone to gang up for him he's big enough and knowledgable enough to look after himself. You seem to find the fact that he has a Rottweiller somehow reflects on his character, you could not be further from the truth and it is possibly this stuck up attitude with regards to members of this forum and the fact that 99.9% actually enjoy shooting our guns as opposed to wasting them by hanging them on the wall that is pissing a vast majority off. They are tools to be used not ornaments, try shooting yours you never know you might enjoy it or you could go down the post office as I hear they have some nice stamps in stock.;)

This site is called ShootingtheBreeze because it was set up by a shooter for shooters, may I suggest a more suitable location for you would be the
"Horlicks & Slippers Section" on AirgunBBs do try not to wake them up won't you.

Ah Humour......warn us next time you decide to try using it

You don't like people having a dig at you do you, maybe if you showed other people the same courtesy you wouldn't get as much stick.

I think you misunderstand some of us, it's nothing to do with you being a collector it's to do with your attitude towards other members of the forum & that fact that you are a COCK.

Dave didn't ask anyone to stick up for him but I tend to stick up for my mates......maybe if you actually went outside & shot you could make a few mates to stick up for you......then again I doubt it

How many times does one need to justify airgun collecting ? (heck have stated this so many times!) I dont bother posting anything within HFT or FT , as you well know I'm no competitor in your eyes, BECAUSE of the JOB ! I cant & wont do weekends. I still enjoy shooting/plinking targets in the back garden. Do I really need to show up in flesh, get a score , and then either get a pat on the back or a wry smirk ? (ie: to vindicate that insecure feeling to justify those negative thoughts from some of you ?) ; Its borderline having to prove to others "You're one of us" ...thats an idiotic schoolboy 1st XV Rugby herd mentality. We have all experienced it...and some of you are happy as 'adults' to continue in this fine tradition...

I also said...It takes all kinds of people to enjoy airguns...and whatever rocks their boat. If a minority of hard core dedicated FT shooters wag a "no no" finger to an airgun collector...thats their opinion. I have time constraints...for crying out loud, this might sound exotic but am flying to Hong Kong for business , then back to Switzerland, then back to UK this coming week; I'll post a digi pic if you want proof. Must admit, I am KEEN as HELL to do an FT shoot...in the mean time, my hard earned do$h is spent buying my dream guns...anyone got a problem with that ? so, I collect these airguns, yes, like stamps for the time being, and that pisses you off ????. And what ? I need to do an FT shoot and score before I get admitted to the fraternity ???? but like 99.99% of you, YES, I still shoot the guns AND derive as much pleasure...but not in a FT environment. An YES, have done firearms comps. in the past, so am I partially accepted ?

A bit of humour here & there to diffuse the situation is warranted. Didnt you guys figure that out ? My life is not about STB, nor simply collecting these beauties. Its a hobby, that we all have something in common, even if Im a collector.

Snapping off the head of a newbie from the US, by another newbie is what spurred banter on another thread & the response by D Hat who made a PM, public; people jumping in the middle of a thread without knowing the origins are piss takers. Its easier to follow a heard mentality and rain napalm on someone you hardly know; not my style, but certainly its evident there are a few trigger happy members who do so here.

Your highlighted point is not warranted- am pissing people off 'cause I hang the guns on the wall' ? Have a think about that...there are people collecting cars, watches, and whatever rocks their boat....and are still part of an 'interest group' . Should they be chastised by other members because of blah blah blah blah ???,- in my book, Its really nobody's business to dictate your own interest and use of that kit ... I cant fathom this attitude...and until the founders of this forum change the membership requirements, I shall continue posting whatever I see fit and of interest for others.

Good day to you all...and peace on Earth :D

Have really got your pressure going heh ? Its bad for your standing shots mate !

You are such a gracious chap, I could hug you !

The origin of this palava :

    http://www.shooting-the-breeze.com/forums/showthread.php?t=4529

And I have 'attitude' ? Thought I was doing the right thing to chastise a newbie...and supporting/encouraging another.

Mmm...am not qualified obviously :D.....will stick to collecting (at the chagrin of others) and posting interesting new developments in the airgun world instead.
