Hi all I dont use one of these and have tried in the past...but now i realise i need to get one. I dont know anything about them ..can anybody tell me the benefits please and also which one is the best...and what sort's can you get??? O...and where can i get one?? Thanks all LAity
Hi, i used to wear a glove for FT but now dont use it, for me personally i like to feel the gun, you should look on the net in gunshops! the Anshutz one is popular! Lee
Hi mate Try here for ideas and prices. I like the 109 myself. HPS also make a decent glove and last time I saw a price it was only about £15 Good luck Dave
The benefits that I find are improved grip (especially in hot weather), the ability to hold the gun without it causing pressure on your hand so much (probably more noticable with heavy FT rigs on standers and such like), and it can help to just steady the gun through those little vibrations now and then. A little bit of strength to them helps relax the hand. I think try before you buy, as i've had several over the years, and I still use the one I first bought for FT, despite having 3-4 others come my way. In 10m, i've finally settled on on, but i'm still in two minds as to whether to use one for that or not. If you can get one that fits firmly and comfortably, then i'd go for that fit over price. My one cost me £45 probably 4 years ago... it's only worn in a few places and has a good amount of strength in it still (probably due to the design and cut, rather than the stiffness of material itself). There's a few designs, you can get ones with locking fingers, a wide cuff strap or narrow, stiff or soft back, so if you can get somewhere that has a few, or can try a few, do so
Think i might go for one now, What i will do is have a look about and see whom is using what and try a few. Still not sure what type to get to be honest. Thanks for the replies though, most helpful. LAity
Rog I have 2, a full glove and a fingerless anschutz. If you want to come over and try them give me a bell. Best wait for the wind to die down though Gary
Innit windy out boss!!!!! I have been catching up at home on loads of paperwork and had the window open..it was like something from Twister!!! paper and ash everywhere... I will hav a look at your gloves mate if that is ok. LAity
ROGGIE Are you sure this is for Shooting !, and not for a Mark Wall "caught by the wife". Next time your down Bisley, take a look in the NSRA shop, or if there's an event on, go to the HPS stand. Is it true, your teamed with Sean Cameron and Colin Sykes, for the rest of the UKAHFT shoots.
To be honest i would feel more sorry for them!!!! So about this glove then...Where can i get one cheapish but still good. I have been told a bout a good few ..fingerless or what??? Tell me all. LAity
If i can get enough orders, i may be able to get some again, they will be the anschutz, 101's and 109's Pete
Pete , can i sugggest that you start another thread saying that you might be able to do this and then we can put out names down?? LAity
Have a look on here Rog http://www.intershoot.co.uk/ I've used them in the past and they're spot on. They should have a size guide on there somewhere just measure around your hand then use this to order your size. I use a fingerless one so I can still pick my nose/arse without taking it off but it's personal choice Dave
Sorry didn't see your post Pete before putting mine up. If you get them at a good price I'm ready for a new one XL Dave
Yep Pete, mines getting a little dated now....smells like the gusset from a fishwifes knickers.....only worse. Can't remember the model of Anschutz i've got????....but it's lasted well for 5 years and it's been through some real Quarry weather.
