Just a quick question.............are shooting gloves considered part of shooting clothing in the UK FT rules? How are gloves interpreted in the rules?

Im only asking since the italians have once again banned shooting gloves for the 2011 FT Worlds in their revised rule book but the WFTF Core rules clearliy states that all forms of shooting clothing is permissable!

    Any thoughts regarding this?.......................

    Cheers

Shooting gloves and Gimp jackets are part of shooting clothing, so WFTF rules allow them.

where have you seem revised italian rules?

Well, if WFTF rules allow shooting gloves, i cant see why the italians are changing the rules again?

Perhaps Rob can contact them as EFTA chap and report back?

    Rob contact them???

Oh the joys of shooting in other countries eh lads......

Im sure it will get sorted soon for you all.

Might be worth others not just Rob asking them questions Simon, if questions come from more than 1 person they will be more obliged to look at it and deal with it? Maybe even speak to the WFTF regarding these items you ask about???

Seems like the italians are not considering gloves as part of clothing so they are banning them. Shooting gloves are banned but soft gloves are ok but they are not the same thing!

Gloves are a part of clothing so any type of glove should be permitted! End of story!:mad::mad:

The EFTA has emailed the FFTI about those two areas of concern.

Remember Si, it's the Efta... Wafta is also in the WFTF... ;)

Truth be told not found the glove any real advantage, but if WFTF rules say we can use it, we should be able to use it.

    does keep hand warmer.

ridiculous rule to ban the use of a glove, standard for target shooting through most of Europe.
They should spend a little more time practicing than changing the rules.
