As far as I know Andras (maestro here) uses one and he seems to put in good results with it! Maybe he's one of the best ppl to ask?

Mine just arrived, a scope had a friend loan me for two weeks, maybe I can answer a few questions but the best if you are looking for maestro, he was a year of use.
He is experimental type, and was a great shooter surely all be able to respond.

Just to add thats a prototype Will.
Freely admits the ranges move with temp and white out very easilly.

Theres Robbie who has two in SA bought over here as well.

Cheers Jon, didnt know that. Situation improving with the newer (production) ones?

As an aside I do find my ranges move slightly with the Nikko too, and was also having white-out problems at Weston Park this year.

heard a few people say there nothing to shout about, just buy the new nikko, which doesnt move in temp and a fraction of the price with optics to match, or get a leup 20-50 for less than a grand, or a leup comp for half the price and unbeatable range finding.

I think the S & B FT will take a few seasons to proove it's self as the best FT scope after the production one's have gone through all the rigours of the british climate and light conditions but for what I have seen so far the optic's are alot better than my 20-50 VX3, I am going to wait until spring for about 12deg temps and slightly better light before I set the S & B up then you have it set in a mean average so hopefully should see less movement if any. The nikko's I have looked through have all been varible in optic clarity and not consistant and sometimes milky at high mag(In my opinion)but as someone suggested to me once that can be an aide to accurate rangefinding as your more looking at the silhouette profile than fine details on the strings.
I will leave judgement on my S & B FT until I have shot a season with it. But as for now I think the 20-50 leup may just stay on the Walther for the GP season for now.

Im a relative novice to FT and ive bought the new for 2009 Nikko. I have found mine really good, it ranges on 50mag very well as it snaps in and out of focus really sharply. As for the optical quality, one of the clubs we shoot at has recently bought some new targets and the makers sticker is still on them, i can read the makers name at 55yds on full mag so in my limited experience i think thats pretty good! Also the turrets have a nice feel to them and the clicks are nice and positive. Highly recommended.
