Just a quick note that next week will see an upgrade to the server. This will require some downtime, and once I have an idea of when and how long it will be down i'll post accordingly.

The new server will be based on a cloud system, meaning there will be redundancy if one part starts to fail.

Once that is stable, i'll be looking to upgrade the forum software with something a little more 2011 :)

Cloud system? Might make it more cumulo-nimble then? :D

The server will be moved this friday evening, and should mean a downtime for anyone of no longer than 24 hours...

Best of luck, it should go well.
I just moved to a cloud system this week too. All went well until I sat waiting for the DNS to propagate... I did the checks over again and the domain just didn't propagate.
I went back and read the FAQs, and noticed that when I added the domain to the server, I didn't tick the "www" box.

I deleted all the files I uploaded, removed the domain and started again. This time it took about 3 hours to fully propogate:eek:
    It's a larf, innit?:D
