After a bit of advice. Looking to mount a big scope on my TX200 for FT. i have a rail fitted and after a few horror stories was thinking of a dampamount to stop it shaking the big nikko to bits.
Good idea or not? Should I just stick the Big Nikko on my PCP instead and avoid the misery?

I have Leupold Competion scopes on my springers, but have used big Nikko's with no problem at all. Same set up as you....AJP rail with standard sportsmatch mounts, never had one move.
Some of the lads on the FT scene use Busnell elite 8-32x40 the older front PA model to very good effect,,Brian Samson, the current springer world champion being one of them.

Don't put a big Nikko on an SR TX.

    Neil.

I have used Mk1 , 2 and 3 Big Nikkos without incident on my TX. Some have reported problems but others like me have not had an issue to date.

The TX SR is renowned for wrecking scopes. But all my 7 springers have Leupold comps, Bushnell Elites and big Nikkos on them with no problems. Rifles are 2 TX200s, 2 HW97s, 2 Pro-Sports and 1 Walther LGU.

I have a Falcon t50 on my TX with sportsmatch mounts, and It doesn't move, and is still in one piece after a year of use. Cant vouch for the Nikko but have seen a lot of people using them on there springers.

I have the exact same setup using the adjustable elevation only ATP61 mounts with the arrester pin as it would move, the windage was bang on in the Middle of the number of turret turns, how happy I'm I. Great package with a Welsh Willy kit.

Did last years W/L with a fella who broke two Nikko's on his TX over the season, not sure what was happening or if he was just unlucky.

No, fella called Rod, he pretty much had a nightmare season, they replaced both with no issue but it only took him a couple of session to break the next one. No idea what was going on but that gun didn't like them at all Bri :)
