Im going to have a bash at hft with an s400 .177 and would like to ask some advice, which could be obvious !

As Im about to buy the rifle and before I spend, is there a preffered or better barrel lenth, carbine or classic.

Rifle will out perform me, but Ive read that they do work well with a reg and if so what one/where to get job done

    Cheers

    Chris

Classic length gets you more usable shots and has more internal space when you want to get a reg. ;)

fill my sons s400 to 170 bar and its right in the sweet spot for a hft course, so no great need for a reg if you don't need the extra shot count, be better off buying an adjustable butt pad:)

    great guns

I started with a 400 classic and it had a plenty good enough shot count for a 30 shot course.
A good mod is the addition of the MPR trigger assembly give it a far better feel.
