Hi got an EV2 MK4 and was wondering if anyone has measured the outside diameter of the air tube??

Just looking to get a wind indicator arm from Rowan Engineering and wondering which size to get??

I thought i'd ask as i haven't got a caliper to accurately measure the diameter as the original air stripper and wind indicator arm have been removed.

Any tips on what wind indicator "string" to use would be good too

    Cheers

The 31.5mm fits the EV2 but check with them, they reply pretty quick. I've been advised that old audio tape is good as it doesn't absorb any water. String, Wool and Feathers get heavier after a shower.

I also have a Rowan 31.5mm (S400) windicator on my Daystate CR97 and the air tube is the same diameter as the EV2mk4 so it will fit! ;) It is very well made.

For the "string" I use "CHENILLE" that you can purchase in small packets (approx 2 metres) from Fishing shops at about £1.50 per pack, it's fairly strong, very light, come in bright colours making it easily visible and does not absorb too much water. I usually tie a feather on the end, but that is not necessary as it catches the wind no problem :)
