Cracking day and even got a suntan (ok a red face but that counts up here), my partner was a bit shy and quiet to start with but once he came out his shell he was ok, think he just needed a jelly baby. Good company Laity!

What a brilliant weekend! Thanks to the Rivi crew. I thought they made the very best of their landscape and the wind beat the hell out of me!

Very well done to Charlts on a decisive win, also to the M.A.D. team on their win ( no thanks in any small way to me).

Had a good crack with my shooting partner Stuart, cheers buddy and well shot.

Lastly but not least a big thank you to Dop and Jen for the lift and their interesting company, think we covered everything from Homers illyad to the Napoleonic wars! :D

I'd like to echo Ians comments. I'd also like to congratulate Ryan on an excellent score yesterday, well done Ryan.
As a family we'd like to thank the collective efforts of Chris Cundey, Mark Crossland and their friend colloquially known as 'Gorilla hands' for their help with Ells gun yesterday.

    Regards Andrew

Thanks to Rivi for a good course and probably one of the fastest I've shot for a while. I shot like a numpty due to not spending time setting up and paid the price so lesson learnt. Thanks to Dave and Darren for the company on the way round.
Well that's the UKs done for me this year as I haven't got the chance to shoot anymore :( See you all next year for what will hopefully be a longer season for me ;)

Thanks Mark it's really appreciated. When it goes wrong Ells head just goes into melt down, I think when it went off he'd only dropped about 2 or 3 with maybe 5 or 6 to go. As soon as it went he fell off the rails too.
Fickle things teenagers :) .. As I said we very much appreciate the help you all gave, H is going to contact Chris regarding a new cocking lever but I need to get it flying for him one way or another and as I'm as mechanically minded as the average Armadillo.........

    Thanks for the comments.

I would like to offer my apologies for the two pulled targets as they were both down to me. The base for the partial obscured one was just not good enough for this type of target.

The other was just my poor maths. I now know that 35 yds is not 115 ft  but 105 ft. The target in question was queried on the course vetting but again I had the intelligent end of the tape and made the same mistake.

It was all Woki's fault really :D

Super days shooting. Great company around the course. Pleasure to shoot with such good shooters. Thanks Chris and James. We were so pleased when we all got the long target that got pulled (23?), saying it must have been the hardest on the course!
Big congrats to my mentor Ryan on his "2 clear point win"!

I wouldn't be too hard on yourself Ray, it's not the first time a target has been pulled in a national, I would bet money on it not being the last time either. My father always told me; "The man that has never made a mistake is a man that has never learned anything" and to prove him right I keep making them :) . The round was seemingly enjoyed by many and at the end of the day enjoyment should be the fundamental part of the sport or why do we do it?

    Regards Andrew
