Hello all, my first post on here, but I've been on the forum for some time.

I acquired a Ripley AR5s recently that hasn't been grouping very well (1"+ at 25yds with AA, the best grouping pellet). In combination with this, it takes extra force to close the bolt when a pellet is placed in the breech. Some brands of pellet are nigh impossible to get into the gun, and there seems to be a correlation between group size and the 'tightness' of the pellet.

Is this due to distortion of the pellet on the transfer port or...?

Thanks for any help on this matter...:)

Cheers Suds, this is probably the issue!

Have you checked the o'ring in the barrel that seals the probe, sounds to me like you have damaged this pulling the barrel through
