a good tip for quarry is to have a good chin strap on your hat stops you having to chase it all day lol:p

Well Martin as long as you promice not to tell too many others I`ll let you know the only method of shooting at QUARRY
1 Spend all of your hard earned cash on the best kit you can afford
2 Work hard perfecting your firing positions and Practice
3 Tune your range estimation with hours, days & weeks of practice
4 learn to judge the speed and direction of Wind & its effect on the pellet
5 FORGET EVERY THING YOU`VE LEARNT THUS FAR AND PRAY TO THE WIND DEMONS, THE ODD HUMAN SACRIFICE SOME TIMES HELPS
ps Pete did say something about an easy course, can`t remember what it was though:D:D:D:D:D

See you at the Quarry if your brave enough :D:D:D

You will stand at your first peg pick the string up and it will blow to the left and the chap on the right hand side of you will pick his up and it will blow to the right, then the chap on the left will pick his up and it will be in the S shape.
Then you will start to think to yourself what do i do,well there's no hope for a first time shooter at Quarry your just have to go there more often and learn for yourself :D:p

    Regards Chris

I have shot at quarry three times now and on all three occasions it blew a gale 1 mil dot at 25 yards is common place it also lifts and drops pellets so even getting your ranges right don't help, be afraid be very afraid.;)
But that could also just be me shooting like a plonker.
Whatever happens it will be well worth the trip and a challenging course can't wait.

    Darren.

    What can you say:
Allways a warm welcome (well it is in Wales)
    Always a challenging course
Great entertainment watching them chase the sheep away
And the wind, well that just makes for a fun filled confusing shoot;)

Wales is great for gun care - you get the pleasure of stripping your action to dry & clean it and re-oil your stock:D
