Spent two day solid looking at how i shoot or pulling apart how i shoot, have tryed my stock in all shapes and have found a position were i can sit and still do a standing shot.In the end its all down to time and practice i hope.Roll on the winter.:shot:
get your orders in my usual one is closed on a tuesday so was thinking of getting it tonight an having warmed up chinese yyyyyyyyyyuuuuuuummmmmmmmmmmmm lyn
Don, one thing that I found that helped was to actually video myself shooting various targets in the positions. Then by studying that you can see things that you are doing wrong. I did this and it was quite intersting that I twitched my hand that held the rifle in the sitting position on my knee which was giving me the occasional wild shot. Other than that its just either practise or natural talent and in my case it practise. Which reminds me I had better start have not fired my rifle since Inter-Regions in April.
I have corrected the spelling mistake and yes depending on the way your mind works you can read into it what you think. They say a picture paints a thousand words and to me watching the video worked well to find the problems with my shooting technique.
sounds a great idea to review the video as a thought, did you video from several different view points to get the 'all round' picture ATB Phil
Hi Andy not a bad idea the film bit, will look into it on my laptop beside me when i sit and shoot,Had another fab day in the wind today had a ok bisley club shoot at the week end in the wind, still more work on the range find bit. Cheers Don
I spent 5 hours practicing on Friday and Saturday... didn't really help on Sunday but it was good to get out :shot:
All round would have been better but concentrated on one side, as I shot off the knee it was the right hand side. The video also showed that I was contorting my head a bit so made some adjustments to the stock I was making at the time. It was a case of I knew I was doing something but did not know what.
