I've been trying for a while to get hold of a pmcb pellet sizer but aren't getting any reply from the site at all. Apparently the guy is a bit aloof. :eek:o

Can any of you guys recommend me a pellet sizer that will do multiple pellets like the pmcb one will do.

All your help will be much appreciated.

I've looked at uk Neil but from what I can see he only does sizers for single pellets which I could imagine becoming very tedious after a while. Thanks though mate.

Remember you can only size down not up,and most pellets probably need a bit on size,

Most pellets that work for me are generally in the 8.4 weight , 4.52 size range. When I've had problems with pellet batches I have found that the tail dias seem to be slightly smaller than norm.
An example being RWS Superfields old ones over 3yrs.
The newer pellets did not shoot as well;checking them out I found that they had the head dias increased and the tail dias decreased compared to the older pellet;they were favoured by some of the top shooters once.
Sizeing in this case would be a waste of time as I needed the tail dia increased. As I had a micrometer I spent some time putting pellets in the anvil and increasing the jaw pressure to squeeze the pellet and hopefully increase the tail dia.In theory it seemed good but resulted in a flat spot on the head surface and not very successful in increasing the tail dia.
I tried getting the next size up 4.53,these would size down to 4.52 but were stiffer and thicker in section due to compression.and didn't shoot again as well as the original 3yrs + pellets which were thin enough to adapt tail shape to air compresion. forces.
The pellet has to be bigger than the size you wish initially to work.
One of the old BIC ballpoint casings would be a better bet to ensure consistancy of size.

I agree with you, I also sized some pellets and my opinion is that we can t make a bad pellet good by sizing and most of the time the pellet manipulation does more bad than good.

Sizing it s OK to make the all pellets start the same way.

I have turned "Bad" pellet batches that would not group into grouping "Dons" by sizing.
It definatley works on some batches.;)

I can only echo the comments for Neil & even with a single die I can size 100 in about 10mins.

As far as I am aware PMCB is not trading.

Regarding the PMCB sizer can you be sure each of those multiple holes is exactly the same?? at least with a single die they are all the same.

Ask him to make one chum. Can't think of a reason why he wouldn't .
But would a multi hole device really be that much quicker ?
And as has been stated , you can guarantee absolute consistency with a single hole Sizer
