i got a storm 3220 in the end, it's a tad shorter, but so deep there's no chance of anything getting to the scope... + I can sling all sorts of other gear in there as well. See what you think.

Might be worth asking Ryan at Intershoot... he runs a pelicase site, which has links from intershoot. Tell him I sent you.

From what I can tell he's one of the cheapest anyway.

Remember VAT goes up next year.. ok so it's only 2.5% but it's going the wrong way :D

Mike, not sure if it's still an ongoing offer but Airgun Scotland had arranged good deals with Peli UK. I had to remove some foam from the lid of my FT one to give the sidewheel enough room.

I took a 3200 to SA and it was fine, so i think that or the 1750 would be as well.

The 3220 is really deep... 8.5" internal... so i've got no worries about the sidewheel at all :D

The storm 3220 is 44.0 x 14.0 x 8.5"... that's fine for me, but I do have to take the armadillo hook off because the walther in it's paul wilson, with the muzzle break on is just too close to the edges on length for my liking.

But the scope is the main concern, and all my other rigs will fall in it.

I'd just go for the ones with the dimensions you like... i think the peli might have the edge on a really massive hit from the size by a tank or something :rolleyes: :D, but the storm was fine for the trip out to SA and back, and the internals were just as I left them. I think most of the shooters took peli's or storms... the only person who had any lateral zero shift was James Woodhead, who used one of those bog standard gun gears... and then we took him indoors at 50m and found he was 14 clicks out...... good job he tested the zero eh ;) :D

LOL... all good fun, but you can put an egg in a polystyrene box and throw it off balconies and it won't break... and you can drive a 4x4 over your foot because the pressure is lower because the wide tyres spread it, 3 ft of water isn't that much pressure, and did we see the shot gun marks on the outside? :D

the small boxes take a bit more because they are small... i reckon the peli has the edge on the big boxes because the mouldings go around the outside... but i got the storm for the depth.

Calp's EV fell out of the van 3x in SA, and at least once he didn't even have the bag done up... in fact i'm not even sure he had a hard case at all...

Peli have announced the 1770 case...

    Interior Dimensions:
    54.58" x 15.58" x 8.63" (138.6 x 39.6 x 21.9 cm)

Doesn't look cheap... does look massive. At the moment i'm only seeing 1:1 $ to £ conversions, so it's weighing in at £400... but in the US it's $400, which is £250, so I would expect someone enterprising to perhaps get them in a tad cheaper.
