Hi folks, I am having trouble re-parallaxing my panorama (non AO), it is not like the hawke sport scope, when the objective lens cap is twisted the lens wants to twist as well. Does anybody have any advice?.

    Hi
I've done mine without too much hassle.

when you say lens cap do you mean the locking ring. Mine had some very sticky black stuff on it which caused the lens to move when replacing the ring is this the case with you.

    regards Jon

Try gentle heat with hair dryer. This should work.
I cleaned the gloop off that way it didn't cause the lens to move on re-assembly, the gloop acts as a sealer & adhesive so I put mine back together with some silicone grease (molycote 111)

Once heated, use a filter wrench to loosen the cap if she still wont budge by hand. Both of my Panoramas required this treatment.
