Looking for comments from Steyr operators here....

Have you found it better to:

    a) stick with the Steyr high slanted rail, and go higher mounts also?

    b) abandon the Steyr rail, go high elev/windage adj. dovetails?

    c) stick with Steyr rail, make a custom drooped set of weavers?

    d) any of the above are valid solutions....

Who has what, and why does it work for YOU better than another method?

I found the forward slant too much on the Factory rail, by about 2 turret revs. Shimming under front of scope needs to be replaced with a more permanent solution. I like head high with about 3 " scope height, but still with a forward tilt. Windage/elev adj mounts seem to only come in dovetail, which leaves the Steyr rail users out of the loop.

    Thanks
    GS

    Ta

I'd already had a thought about those.

Just have to find out if we have an agent over here for Burris. I remember seeing something similar at an importers warehouse recently, so I'll ask if that is the same mount.

    cheers

    Problem solved..........

Epoxy resin bedded the scope rings instead with the front coming up 25 moa.

Way cheaper than burris zee weaver rings,...... and I know the angle I set it to so all good.

5 minute Araldite, glad wrap and a slice of PET plastic, looks nice...truly "custom".

    Thanks for your suggestions.
