Got a nice Rowan stripper 2nd hand for my Steyr. However, it will only slip about 1/2" onto the barrel. The end of my barrel has an ever so tiny step in it that's the correct diameter for the Rowan but it comes to a stop.

I believe they are aluminum - any advice on opening it up slightly?

    Thanks,
    Casey

Hi Casey, I would use a hand reamer in a tap wrench I am guessing the OD of the barrel is 16mm so a few light turns of the wrench should shave a couple of thou off also make sure it is a tapered reamer this will also ensure concentricity
    Regards
