The weather forecast could best be summed up in one word; dire, though thankfully, the worst of the morning’s wind and rain held off until the last few shots were being taken.

Three weeks after scoring a PB with 50, Jason Cowan not only surpassed that, but top scored with 54, one point ahead of Mick Boswell and Phil Soper. Stew Searle topped the recoil class with 50, ahead of Chris Collins on 44.

    Positions on count back

    Open
    Jason Cowan 54
    Mick Boswell 53
    Phil Soper 53
    Dave Hemmings 51
    Ian Ree 50
    Kelly Searle 49
    Stu Hill 47
    Kevin Scott 47
    Drew Hewlett 44
    Dave Gallichen 43
    Mike Towler 41
    Keith Plummer 39

    Recoil
    Stew Searle 50
    Chris Collins 44
    Frank Peterek 41
    John Holder 40
    Wayne George 35
    Lee Malpass 32

    .22”
Luke Beale 18 (junior, first HFT)

Thanks to everyone who braved the weather, to Mick for refreshing the course, and to the usual crew for painting the targets and pulling the strings in.

Please note: The club will be closed next weekend as we prepare to host the final round of the DMHS the following week on 17th. Nomads members who wish to enter the DMHS will need to add their names to the list when it appears in the Calendar Events section.

A real brilliant day today, but I must admit I was surprised so many turned out, With the pending weather forecast I very nearly stopped in bed, big thanks to all that run the show and please move target on lane one, I can’t hit the dam thing, 3 dough nuts in 3 weeks☹️

    Your score was 41, Frank.

Your shooting partner added it up wrong.
