The first shoot of the new decade saw a mixture of overcast sky and occasional sun, with seemingly lesser wind than last week, but still enough to cause problems.

It was good to see newcomers to the sport, who seemed to be enjoying themselves, and thanks to the members who gave them encouragement and advice around the course.

Jason Cowan topped the open class with a PB of 58, two points clear of Ryan Ashman. Perry Broad lead the springer class with 54, followed by Kris Whale with a notable 50 shooting his new TX.

    Positions on count back.

    Open
    Jason Cowan 58 (PB)
    Ryan Ashman 56
    Phil Soper 54

Well done Jason, great score, especially in that wicked wind. Welcome to the elusive 58 club. Shall we design a badge?
