The forecast suggested strong but reasonably steady west north-west wind, which would place the Nomads ground nestled comfortably in the lee of Berrow Hill, but the reality was north, or east, or south, varying by the second in both direction and intensity.

Sam Hemmings lead the open class with 53, one point ahead of Dan Mcmahan, with Kev Clarke and Stu Hill both on 50. In the recoil class, Kristian Whale and Andrew Timmins finished on 43, one point ahead of Chris Whale.

    Positions on count back

    Open
    Sam Hemmings 53
    Dan Mcmahan 52
    Kev Clarke 50
    Stu Hill 50
    Jason Cowan 49
    Kevin Scott 48
    Dave Hemmings 47
    Mick Hinett 47
    Mike Hymas 45
    Keith Jones 31
    Andy Neale 27

    Recoil
    Kristian Whale 43
    Andrew Timmins 43
    Chris Whale 42
    John Holder 41
    Dave Gallichan 32

Thanks to John for the signing in, and to Dave, Stu, Perry and Jason for spraying the targets. Commiserations to Dave and Chris, who are probably never going to hear the end of being beaten by their sons.

Great day on the hill. Thanks to Dave and Jason for a brilliant round.
Well done to Sam and especially Kristian our only junior who took top recoiling spot.
Thanks to everyone who travelled to support us again today.

I've only been away for one day and look what I missed,
Sam's come back and top scored on the day,
    Kristian won the recoiling,
Jason just missed his 50 by 1 point,
and Stu beat Dave with a pcp, what a day.

    Well done everyone!
