Northern Monkey HFT Andrew Luckley Memorial Shoot. 10am Sunday 1st September.

I'll post this up as a side to Toms as usual event thread just to explain the day and how it differs from the other events throughout the year.
This year's shoot will be the third year we have staged this prestigious event since we revived it and we expect it to a fantastic day. I guarantee this will be the best course NMHFT have ever set.

30 target hft course set to UKAHFT rules.
Bonus points awarded to certain shooters for the overall Andrew Luckley Memorial Shield.
    Open class starts from scratch.
    Recoiling +2
    .22 +2
    Junior +2
    Anyone shooting a .22 recoiling +4
Highest points scored receives their name engraved upon the Andrew Luckley memorial shield.
    Individual trophies and medals for
    Open class
    Recoiling class
    .22 class
    Ladies
    Junior

This year sees the introduction of the famous (ok it isn't, yet, but just wait ;)) golden monkey challenge. Three wise monkeys of varying kill sizes that are part of the HFT. Get all three and you earn yourself the prestigious Golden Monkey badge!

Signing in from 9.30am for 10.30am prompt start.
Range and rfd opens from 9.30am for zeroing etc. The £8 range fee covers you to shoot the HFT event.

Raffle tickets available on the day for a huge range of prizes from such companies such as Air Arms, Vortex (of course it's a scope this year ) Optics Warehouse, Custom targets, Airgun Shooter magazine to name but a few.

The lane sponsorship has amazingly been sold out within a week, thanks to everyone involved in that with the generously donated money going direct to the Lochaber Mountain Rescue team charity.

"Please sir I want some more"
"MORE?!!! Well then young shooters. Free JSB goodie bags!"
Yes you read that that correctly. We will be giving out some rather fetching JSB duffle bags containing the usual freebie stuff, pellets pouches, keyrings, pens etc to those that fancy them on the day.

    Venue: Tall Trees Range.
Bob Dunkley Firearms, Woodview, TS27 3HD.

I'm gutted I'm probably going to miss this. Would be great practice for the world's that I'm also going to miss.
Any suggestions to what excuse I can use to go on holiday two days later and come back one day earlier in time for the world's?

Congratulations to Dave Dresser who inadvertently hammered a post into a wasps nest as we were making a start on the course layout today. Sorry Dave, five wasps stings to the head still isn't enough to qualify for a prized golden monkey badge :p

If anyone fancies an overnight stay The Windmill hotel is handily just along the road. There's normally a few stay there, canny cheap and the meals, drinks etc are very reasonable. We'll have a few sociables the night before :)
