Hi Simon, thanks for the warm welcome. Yes I'm right handed, but appreciate the offer of a go on your lefty. Would be great to have a look at the setup you're running! Please say hi when you next see me down there
Hi Andy, thanks for your note. I'll ask for Scott next time I'm down there (hopefully this weekend weather permitting). Appreciate the ev2 and big nikki steer thanks
Scott's easy to find he's got that many guns he'll turn in a lorry
That's unfair!! It's only a van...a big one, mind....
Seriously Martin, try before you buy, don't rush into it and you'll enjoy it a lot more. If you can get down there a little earlier -11ish - we'll drag you round the course and you can see what it's about. Saturday's going to be a "fun" day windwise, so none of us will be expecting much....except Nathan, if he's there .... but it'll give you a chance to try the different ft setups and see what the fuss is all about.
See you Saturday......
Thanks Jerry. See you Saturday at 11
I tell you what. I have a second Steyr setup.
I will put the right hand grip on it (I’m left handed too) and set it up with the spare Bushnell scope I have.
you can try it out and shoot the FT round with me on Saturday with it.
it will help give you and idea.
I have a spare cushion, etc as well.
Make sure you get there earlier. 9ish if possible. That way I can tale you through the gun setup.
You're a gent, that's very kind of you Thank you. See you at 9am Sat.
If STB had been around when I started to shoot FT I may not have made so many foolish and expensive equipment mistakes. Good luck with your new kit Martin and remember that everyone who has posted on here has been through exactly what you are going through now. Enjoy it all!
Simon, I came across this plate for sale on free ads earlier whilst having a nose around, and thought you might pick up an early valentine's present to yourself lol!
spend much more money on rifles, I’ll be spending Valentines on my own from now on! Haha.
By the way, got my backup rifle all set up, ready for you on Saturday morning....
WOW! That looks sweet!!!! Thanks again for letting me use your toy on Sat, and for taking time out time to lend me a it's greatly appreciated. Catch up Sat morning
welcome Martin, you,ll be sorry as this sport is so addictive lol, when you see scott which might be hard as hes a dwarf and you might look over his head, ask him for one of his scotch eggs, best in the business mate, great guy also and a cracking club. good luck with your shooting and if you need any help just ask bud,
ev2 or steyr topped with a nikko and you wont go far wrong.
