Am I right in thinking Stefan is a junior? If so it looks like a great year for the young un's!

Congratulations Brian on your win and nice work from the admittedly small uk contingent on some decent top 10 finishes.

    Congrats to Stefan
South Africa's first World Champion at the young age of 15 years old.

He has taken both title's and his father took the HP title.

well done to them for sticking it out through some very trying conditions.

Dispite all the shenanigans that have gone on in NZ, for a fifteen year old that is quite an acheivment.

    My thoughts exactly Simon

Kept his head and did the job at hand.

He shoots for the same Club Francois belonged to and he has been knocking on the door so to speak for awhile now. Good level headed temperament and all round sportsman.
He has National Protea colours in benchrest as well.

All the shooters there where perfect sportsman, no cheating going on.
Perhaps if more shooters from around the World went, it would have been a different result.... But they didn't.

The courses weren't mega tough, I'd say on a difficulty level, on a par with a winter league shoot. But the conditions and circumstances made it tough going.

Wasn't the shooters fault it all went a bit tits up. Not their fault that the "best" shooters stayed at home as well.

Taking anything away from them when it was not something they did seems a little ******.

It may go down as the worst worlds ever, but none the less a 15 year old winning the title is an amazing achievement and well done to him. To take away anything from him for circumstances out of his control seems a tad unfair.

    Well done the winners:D

No matter what the circumstances the winners are the winners and have put in the time and effort to gain their achievement, there can be no 'ah but what ifs' good for them.
