It looks like the latest batch of LG300's have just arrived in the country direct from Walther so we can expect even more people to claim having the last one ever built :D:D:D

No the price hasn't come down Don but then again it hasn't gone up.

Not sure when the last ones will be made as BSW have another batch on order

Currently the stocks are Grey laminate only, these are the updated models with a much nicer feeling pistol grip, well I think so anyway as I always found the old one uncomfortable & too short.

From what I heard from a related employee, the dommy won't be made any more. Something to do with only 40 new sales last year (which I find a little perplexing)

They are still being brought into the country by BSW, the last I heard they had an agreement to take a set amount of them over the next 12months.

Any shop that have an accopunt with BSW should be able to order you one

BSW still had 8 new Dominators in stock when I last asked a fortnight ago. The final 20 are held in Germany for BSW.

Add on your import duty and admin fees and there is very little difference, plus if I have an issue I can return it to the distributor.

More and more people in our country now seem to think that getting something as cheap as possible is the only way to do business, unfortunately this is a very short sighted view.

I am happy to support a british or local gunshop and pay a little more, I find that when ever i need to go into my local gunshop the owner always takes a little bit off for me but still makes a profit. We have a cup of tea and a chat about life in general, godd customer service it used to be called.

He is a business, not a charity, he trades with this ethos and I understand that. If he continually sold his goods for the cost price not only would it make him a poor business man it would also make him shut and as such I would have to drive a considerable distance to deal with the next place.

When I deal with any business I am looking for a fair deal for both parties, I get a little discount, supplier makes a profit, cant say fairer than that anything else is just long term stupidity!

Please note, there is no Import Duty when you buy goods from Europe; there is the cost of P&P, which is 99% of the time Euro30 ; there is a GBP20 wire transfer fee for sending your Euros to the sellers bank...but as a % of something over a grand...thats a negligible number in the overall sum....

However, there is a rough Duty charge of 10% + Vat, when importing goods from USA (which is about 30% total)....but there are still deals and savings, like that other chap posted on his scope - http://www.shooting-the-breeze.com/forums/showthread.php?p=70494#post70494 , and if you can still save money in your household budget...why not ?

On the flip side, Id do my part by supporting other independant shops...for example, by NOT shopping at Tescos...and where possible, will shop at the Grocer, Butcher, Fishmonger, Farmers Market on Saturdays, etc..

Its upto anyone, to decide what best suits them - so if buying a UK sourced Walther is your way of supporting your shop even if you are mega quids out...thats your perogative.

I categorically refuse to pay for any NEW big ticket items, at UK sticker prices- when I can find a substantial saving elsewhere...whether Europe, USA, or wherever. We live in a global market.
