I have been sent some exact premium pellets from a contact in the Czech republic, they should be with me very soon. The original plan was to release an 8.4grain express shaped pellet. The tests may not have been favourable. They have opted for these.

    Regards

Apparently 8 euros for 200, so not too bad unless the UK gets the usual inflation of retail price.

Hi all, they are on the JSB website but not available in the UK at the moment. I've got some arriving this week from JSB so will pop them on the scales and give them a good look over. If they're here before the weekend i will check them out and report back.

Edit - i normally shoot batch 22 and found them quite good with the weight spread not being too bad. Last time i weighed it took me approx 2 hours to do 2 tins so the new ones will have to good to beat the time/effort it takes me to get 1000 good pellets.

I have some very good diamond scales so will check out a full box and shoot through the blueshot. Will post the findings early next week.:)

I spoke with the US importer at SHOT show last week. These new pellets are sorted to ~ .001 grains. He said they have a new machine that is able to sort at that consistency. The tins are sorted to ~ .005 grains. He mentioned that it was also able to sort better and more consistently for head size but I am a bit skeptical of that.

The label gives the weight and tolerance in g (gram) not gn (grain), 0.001gram is 0.15 grain isnt it?

We are being had with this imho.

Short history lesson, when air arms first sourced the diablo from jsb, they were superb, weight spread in the tin was 0.15 grain, i saved a sample batch to compare batches against the originals.....i know, sad!

What we are getting is jsb reverting to tolerances and levels of quality they know they can do.

Unfortunately, this is at our cost, as Doz has said circa 20 euro for 500 or, £15.

Going back in time again, i remember paying under £3 a tin if bought by the case of 50. Thats pretty high inflation really. Just saying ;)

    Just for example;

    £3k scope
    £2.5k rifle
    £500 butt hook
    £400 hamster
    £180 air stripper
    £80 scope rail
    £60 parallax wheel

...and we are crying over spending 3p per shot for decent ammo.

Nearly £7,000 for your rig is hardly typical is it? It isn't just the top guys that buy pellets. ;)
