I've just heard, a new scope is coming onto the scene aimed at the HFT market. It's supposedly a 4.5-14x38, but thats all I know.
Can anyone shed more light, maker, reticle etc?

Hi Mark, I heard that Hawke were developing a HFT scope along those lines.:)

if they are aiming it at the hft market why have adjustable mag' unless it is just the ret' they are developing in which case there is no shortage of choice in that department.

Apparently, it's a multi-line reticle, side wheel PX, and 30mm tube. You could be right Andy, new side winder perhaps with a SR6 ret?

If the multi-line reticle doesn't correspond to mils in any way shape or form then I'd suggest that a trick has been missed and it's not particularly HFT specific. ;)

I'd also suggest that the 30mm tubes make bugger all difference unless you are dialling for range. I'd go as far as to suggest that it can be a hindrance on small objective scopes, as the lack of low 30mm mounts available limits the minimum height above bore that the scope can be mounted.;)

If Chris Cundy is the one to speak to then is it an MTC? I hope so, would prefer the SCB ret over the SR to be honest.

Spoke to Gary Cooper a few months ago about a dedicated HFT scope and his answer then was that the market is not big enough, dont think anything has changed. Now if MTC bought out a scope with the SCB Ret & S&B standard optics for £500 I might look at it :D

I still keep going back to my Viper:)

i spoke to one of the chaps at Deben over a year ago about this and they sent me a sidewinder 30 for a test with a view to giving feedback for a dedicated HFT scope with a similar ret to the SR6. Not heard anything since though...Rog might have more info.

From what i hear there should be something about December time. Great! Great! Glass and a fixed mag.i would have said perfect for HFT however i am the worst shot in all HFT, history so dont listen to me.

Was in BAR earlier so asked Sean if he knew anything, a quick call to Chris at Deben confirmed something new in the pipeline for the very near future, 1st samples arriving in the next week or so.
