Nice one James, he even so nearly secured a quota place too!! All from FT ;-) Copied from the NSRA site The last Small-bore British Record held by the late Malcolm Cooper, which he set in Zurich in June 1989, has finally been exceeded. Shooting in the World Cup 3x40 event in Changwon, Korea, James Huckle successfully negotiated the Elimination Stage and then scored 1168 in Qualification, one point short of the British Record set by Alister Allan in 1990. This took James into the final in seventh place, where he added 99.1 for a total of 1267.1, beating Malcolm's score of 1263.9. Two Olympic Quota Places were available in the event, and these went to the shooters in 1st and 3rd places, but James was next in line as the other three shooters ahead of him had already secured Quotas at earlier events. James is still only 20, his 21st birthday being later this year. However under ISSF Rules this means he finished his career as a Junior on 31st December 2010, so the new mark just stands as the new British Men's National and International Record Score.
