Can anyone from the NEFTA committee or any one in the know tell me how many scores out of the six rounds will count to wards the final standings, and can we have a list of the rules posted please many thanks.

4 of the 6 rounds count but as for the scores, then I believe (and I may be wrong) that the rules will be changing slightly from last year (UKAHFT). Try the NEFTA web site for info or give Trev Ryan a call.

On the Nefta website, click onto "Nefta hunter 2009" and rules and scoring are on there.

Since I hadn't heard of any rule changes mentioned on this website I assumed the format/rules/scoring etc were still as the Nefta website says.
(mind you, I'm not from the Nefta area so my apologies if I've got it wrong) :)

I have been wondering why no-one's really mentioned the first round yet, it's just over a week away... Isn't it?

NEFTA aren't using the UKAHFT format or rules this year

Is it going to be worth all the travelling then? I don't fancy nearly 5 hours in the car next weekend to shoot a mickey mouse course, glad I found out tody and not on the morning of a shoot.

As I understand it it will be based on the UKHFT rules with some minor differences, if you are used to shooting to those rules you won't notice a difference. Don't think there is any restrictions on depth of hampsters, butthooks etc, so you could shoot it with your FT rig.

Any ideas on the course setup though Rick? I'm more likely to shoot FT with my HFT rig it's mickey mouse courses I don't like.:)

Then that is a change unless nefta are having an unlimited class as well as a kneeling and standing. If its a hunter competition then it should be run as a hunter. If other classes are to be added then fine but with the first shoot nearly upon us and it clashing with other shoots it would be good to know the format and rule changes early on so like Bryan:cool: says they can organize their days shooting. My argument last year was that the competition was stated to be shot to ukahft rules but it wasn't and without causing any major issues the sooner rules and classes are announced the better.

The rules are now the original NEFTA Hunter rules before we adopted the UKAHFT rules.
