Picked the stock up today. Made by Warren Edwards (Cheers Pal :D). Fits me well and balance is excellent.
Can be seen and tried at the British Recoiling Champs being held at Anston on the 24th March.

I think that'll be the one I shouldered while I was over the other night.

Absolutely fantastic, can't wait for my laminate one to be finished, sadly it won't be ready for the recoiling championships :(

    Cheers Guys!
I'm over the moon with it:D
Been testing it today against my LGV and the recoil with the HW97 now feels on a par with it which I would think is down to the weight of the FT stock.

I asked Warren to do me a stock for 97 in the middle of last year, and he was a bit reluctant to do me one, being fair I think he had only done a couple for springers and was still perfecting the technique, looks like he's mastered it. In the meantime I got myself a Steve Lanyman one, but would still want a couple of Warren stocks for a future 2 projects of mine. Neil.

Warren's a top bloke and an excellent stock maker - but he doesn't make a living out of it and makes stocks largely for the enjoyment and to help out fellow shooters. If you were to add up the man hours it takes to make a stock not to mention the investment in equipment then he probably doesn't even make minimum wage of the deal.

Warren goes out and earns a crust just like the rest of us poor unfortunate saps, but when he comes home from work he goes off into his garage/workshop and whittles away at lumps for wood for the benefit of his fellow shooters... he's not a 'business' and some days when he gets home from doing his real work, he doesn't feel like spending hours in the garage working on stocks. I don't blame him - especially when it's cold and horrible.

He's not great at replying to pm's and because of the quality of his work and his keen prices his stocks have rocketed in demand.

My advice if you want one of his stocks is to be patient, be polite and eventually you will be rewarded.

( Warren, if you read this thread - pull your bloody finger out on my stock :D )

Warren shoots at Anston - so it may be a good idea to get him pointed out and then have a chat with him.

    :)
