    I never clean my barrel... I must have fired 10,000 pellets through it since I last cleaned it and it's absolutely fi...... OH!

    If you can get the barrel and scope so they don't move it's a lot easier to then offer a phone camera to it. Obviously you want flash off and then just put the camera right up to the scope eyepiece, as close as you can get it. You'll see a small image as you move around. Once you've lined it up, zoom in. It's a bit fiddly.

    Alternatively I can bring the sidescope cam up and see if it works with that?

    The plating is on borrowed time Neil fair chunks of it are missing anyway

    Air Arms had plated barrels on some of the EV's, that did the same thing on at least two rifles that I know of.

    Once the plating was all gone, the barrels underneath were good and the rifles shot well.

    Yes mate a good plated barrel is a good barrel and a good plated barrel will also be a good barrel but I don't think there's much point in having half and half with bits dropping off

    A good while ago Amanda called fire blade told me that he had success removing the internal plating so that is the idea

    You can't beat a good stainless barrel once they're shot in, this is why the Tsar was such a disappointment.

    This is not good Phil . if you sort Bazzas barrel out . that means i will probably only beat him by 20 targets next time out ??? HOLLY
