a big well done today to everyone involved in putting on a cracking shoot..............well done.
Bloomin' brilliant. I was seriously poor today, but the course - and the people - were fantastic. Well done to Ryan, a pleasure to shoot with.
It was a pleasure to have the HFT lads at the 'ride today, first time HFT for me & I learned LOADS of stuff.
A big thanks to Dave & Ryan for their help, advise & company around the Course today. I really enjoyed shooting my TX for the first proper outing, though prone was a struggle & I have a growing lump over my right eye where I got the eye relief wrong & got whacked by a recoiling scope! Nothing teaches like experience!
Have to agree with that, fantastic venue, terrific course and brilliant company thanks to Martin and Emily. Thanks to everyone at Millride who've really got behind us and supported us today. Also everyone who volunteered to Marshall and helped put out as well as helped bring in the course.
I've not shot so well or enjoyed a day as much as today for a long time, one of the great things was seeing people who've only really shot FT rolling around in the mud!
The scores should be up soon.
Top day, top shooting by Ryan. Really enjoyedit, cheers to all involved!
BRILLIANT DAY ....... i have had a little holiday from shooting, however i firstly ended up with a very cool dude of a shooting partner 'Woki' and wont have a bad word said against him .... secondly the course was amazing.... good to see 'K' also after his abscence (AWOL)
Gregg (stillwater) for booking us in
Ace to see my friends before chrimbo
Best day out in ages .... WELL DONE !!!
I too had a smashing day and will be back for more.
Well done indeed to the folks at Millride for putting on such a good shoot.
I enjoyed the day even though the weather was a bit damp. Very good company.
After making the drive up in monsoon conditions it turned out to be a nice day apart from the unpredictable wind in the top section of the course.
A big thanks to the organisers and Millride for putting on another great course and making the 300 mile round trip worth it also a thanks to Andy Jones for being referee between myself and Janine today .
Well done to everyone that shot today as you all came in higher than those that didn't come out to play
Looking forward to seeing everyone at the next shoot in January.
Rik & Janine
Thanks for a fantastic day Millride and to all the people that makes it happen.
Firstly on behalf of Ryan Paddy and myself can I thank Millride and everyone that attended today for making it such a great competition, We had 99 people competing today
Leaving home at 6:30 this morning the weather was dire and after aquaplaning down most of the M6 we arrived at a soggy Millride, Half the course had been set out in open fields and the other half was in woodland so it made a great contrast and brought a lot of good shooters to their knees didn't it Chris
Top score of the day once again went to Ryan Charlton with a hugely impressive 59 making it three 100% in a row.
This is made even more impressive when you think that he spends the morning running around like a headless chicken as the chief marshall then grabs his walther does the safety speech and then goes and shoots the course, usualy whilst he is doing this he has also offered to take a young shooter round the course with him to offer them some advise and guidance.

Hope to see you all at Furnace Mill in the New Year.
Last time I saw Laity I shook his hand, what I should of done is throttle him cos whatever he's got has infected me Cracking course and very well organised, I don't think we had a stoppage on 2nd session. Not sure about the stoppages as I might have been swearing at my gun/scope/The wind that was blowing in three directions at the same time
Chris, I'm sure Sparky will have some sort or forfeit ready for you next time at Quarry for letting the side down. Maybe you should borrow Nigel Smith's book of excuses
Your coming down to my level now big enough to hold the whole table up. Although I'll let you have the 3 direction wind because I couldn't work that out either.
As long as you enjoyed the day that's all that matters, thats what I tell myself everytime Janine beats me
P.S Good Shooting Ryan although Janine's not impressed
My 1st visit to Millride like a few others today...What can I say ! Cracking course, nice venue and friendly people to boot. Thanks to the millride course setters and the booking in guys. The weather was good apart from the tricky wind and the company "Ollie" and "Louise" made it a perfect day, thanks everyone . Cracking way to spend a Sunday morning!!!
Cheers to all involed, nice to come to a shoot and not do anything thanks to Scooby and Tim for the company, and good to see everyone.
PS Sorry Del for the drive up
Evil git Funny though, I gather Del of the Dump squeeled like a schoolgirl
Congratulations Ryan, awesome shooting.
I don't know how anyone could get a 59 with that freakishly bizarre wind at the top of the field.
What one did you miss?
I had a really good day out, even if I couldn't get to grips with the wind. I'm sure I'm not alone there though.
A good course and good company, well worth the long drive down.
The bonus bunny winners for yesterday were
Malcolm Morris £50 Collected.
Dave Hunter £50
Peter Foote £50
Dave and Peter can collect their winnings at the next round, but remember if you are not at the next round the cash goes back in the pot and get rolled over. Hope to see you at Furnace Mill, or do we
Good shooting Ryan. Brilliant result.
