Am I in a special club now?
Yes 'The Pilchards', and your team captain!
Hey sue great shoot keep it up looks like nick needs to take some lessons off you!!! or he is teaching you two well! ive got to test my otherhalfs rifle and scope so ill see you at farcoley
just wondered how master`s qualifiers are picked when too many shooters get a high enough score to qualify
I think if theres more than four people with a qualifying score, Its done on count back pete.....First to miss after lane one....maybe wrong.....or if gilly is one of the qualifyers its done on height..with the smallest qualifying
looking forward to seeing you
Cheers, was over the moon with my score, don't think it's sunk in yet. Look forward to seeing you both at farcoley if not before
Hi Marc I know that was the way it was worked out when everybody started on lane one but will it work on shotgun starts. If somebody starts on lane two he or she has only two chances for misses to count in the event of a tie.Would be nice to know for sure as this is going to happen again as season goes on.
Lane 1 is the fairest way,if you did from your start lane it would not be fair on people starting on stander's .
There will be variables in weather but that's down to good fortune.
The MFTA Winter League Masters qualifiers.
In the event of tied scores from competitors not already qualified from previous rounds the method of selection is the following.......
Shooters not already qualified and shoot a high counting score automatically go through by right. If all four awarded places are not taken by right then count back is being used.
Counting starts from target number ONE on the course of fire regardless of where you start your round. The competitor who misses from lane one first is eliminated. All shooters involved in the tied scoring round are place in finishing order using this method. The remaining places are then awarded.
This method was used from round one and will not now be changed for the remaining rounds.
Got right end of stick now If I miss target three and everybody else hits it I`m eliminated. Simples.Just me trying to make it complicated.
surely count back should go on the lane u start, wot if i started on lane 2 and cleared the coarse and last lane ie lane 1 i missed them (my *** got a bit nerveses for a clear) then wot your saying my count back starts from lane 1 not fair really,ok if your not doing shotgun starts but not fair if u are
What then if it's blowing a gale and you start on standers, ?
2 in the bag
conditions would be the same for every1 surely, wot ever lane u start on
I think what he's saying Chris is if your first target is a 30 yd full size kill in shelter and matey started on a 45yd stander or a 50+ in an exposed part of the course, it could be that the 'better' shooter could lose out because of where they started. If they both have a stab at target 1, although conditions could change, at least they're measured on the same target...
got ya rob should lane 1 be a stander then lol only joking
