    Hi, all.

After much thought it has been decided that the MFTA Winter League scheduled for this Sunday, 16 Feb will be cancelled/postponed due to the forcast of severe storms on Sunday.

Currently we are trying to reschedule the shoot for the following Sunday 23 Feb but are awaiting confirmation. We will update this site along with the MFTA website and FB as soon as we can.

We appreciate this decision may not suit everybody, but in the light of storm related events over the past week throughout the UK we must take it seriously and the safety of the competitors, their equipment and vehicles is our primary concern.

The storm may not be a bad as forcast but unfortunately it's a risk we cannot afford to take on this occassion. I hope you understand and support our decision.

    Regards,

    The MFTA Committee

As we're shooting in a woodland that is very exposed I think the correct decision has been taken.
Hopefully see you all the the next one:)

Agree with James. Just hope the reschedule is 8 March and not 23 Feb.

Does this mean there’s a load of Ft shooters with nothing to do Sunday and no need to practice Saturday?

    Right...

Either we get a couple of people to help on Saturday and Sunday on the Air Arms experience at the NEC or I get in touch with all your partners saying you’re free for the day and they can suggest a DIY task of their choice... :D

Difficult decision, and liable to upset some, but I believe the correct one.

    Hi all,

Re the above, the MFTA Winter League Rnd 9 at Far Coley has now been re-scheduled for Sunday 23 February (weather permitting of course ;)).

This may not suit everybody, but then again neither will any other date, so we have kept the running order with Millride being the final round, immediately followed by the MFTA AGM in the Millride cafe/function room.

By keeping to this timeframe, this also helps the Comp Sec etc to get the Inter Regional Team details to the BFTA in a timely manner.

Thank you all for your understanding, and thanks to the Far Coley team for working with us on this one.

    Cheers all,

    Chris
