Enjoyed it, shot with a great lad & learned something today.
I only have one question.....How can Mr Watkins be in C Grade with those percentages, when i've been shoved in B ?

    Two factors.

Am had little or no wind and fairly ( to me) short discipline lanes so most people scored above their current average. This happens at many shoots through the the year.
Secondly and perhaps more important, he has been striving to improve his shooting through practice and perhaps better kit.
    Well done to him.

Agreed Mr Evans........he's a good lad & shoots alot better than me.
I can't figure out how he's back down in C Grade though ?
PS....i don't believe in 'better kit'......some people can hit littlel stones at 100 yards with a catapult with enough practice ! ;)

He is not Back Down in c, he started there this winter, but has improved.

Perhaps you should try upgrading your current catapult:D

I shot am session and can assure you there was wind that kept switching all the time...you shot a 35 pm, ozzy shot a 35 am and he is a mutch better shot than you will ever be, the am session wasn't as easy as you think it was, I hung about for a while for the 2nd session and the wind wasn't switching, it was pretty mutch left to right in the field which is easier to read...and as for a 30 odd yarder taking loads of wind, has your magical muzzle break that takes no wind stopped working...lol:p.

That depends on how you define better shot, today he was not:)
Infact, a rarity these days but even you were a better shot than myself, El C and the dwarf! As I said, averages were up for most Am shooters lol
Pm Wind wasn't switching, I don't think you will find any of the five shooters around me who will agree with you on that, speak to Mr.M about the field.
Yes, my Kit gave me an advantage again today on occasion but not in such strong gusts, but then I have always stated the conditions it works in and that's not one of them.

I define a better shot by what a person has won James has won every thing...multiple times over...and you have won...."NADA". ;)

    Clarity on Andy's grade

    Hi Paul

Andy has not been graded on his MFTA grades. He already had a BFTA grade but was not on the initial winter grading list. When shooters have no grade history they start in grade A and are regraded after 3 shoots. Andy was graded C after the Euros as can be seen on the grading section on the BFTA website. It was my error in not establishing his BFTA grade earlier.

I can see why this seems odd because you were graded on your first 3 MFTA shoots.

I hope this helps make sense of the situation but please ask more if needed

    Shaun

Always worth the drive down to Dowry, in a strange way I've started looking forward to the Field Of Doom.

Haven't been shooting for a while so wasn't too expecting much. Surprising how much difference the lack of practice makes. That said I had a great time trying to work the wind out with my new cannon, in must cases it wasn't enough given, got brave on a few and it still wasn't enough! Had a good time tho and enjoyed the course a lot, some proper testing targets with the gusting and switching wind.

Thanks to Phil and Phil for the great company on the way around, big thanks to Val, James and the Dowry Crew for putting on a real test for us Bandits.

See you all at Millride for more Field Of Doom action.

    Which 5 donuts

So which targets put the noughts on your card, surely not the close disaplines?
I would have liked a little stiffer breeze myself , that way I could have been sure I was picking the right side.
Is Gillie 1 up on you now with home turf advantage for the last one, bet Gillie is looking at £50 items as we speak . Lol
