Thank you to Purley Chase for hosting the MFTA Summer League Rd 5.
Alan and Terry set a new firing line route today which made for a new challenge.
Rain early on but soon cleared to make for good shooting weather.
52 shooter made the trip today.
Top score was two on clear rounds 40 ex 40. Well done to Ian Jerram and me!
Dave Killen scored well on a commendable 39 too.
Top springer was two tied on 33 Mark Brewitt and John Amos.
Lower percentage scores will begin to come off after today's round so a few movers and losers showing in the overall tables.
    Next round at Farcloey.
    See you there,
    Gilly:)

Love the Purley Chase, think it's one of my favourite grounds, even tho the heavens opened up on Lane 1. That top corner did me in at the end but had a great time. Well done Dave on the 39 and my dad says I'm the only Calpin you'll ever beat :)

Well done to Gilly and Ian on the clear, excellent stuff.

    Broke all the rules

Was also pulled up for adding and removing items from his rifle during the coarse of the shoot.

    Sure is

His kneeler's were within the guidelines and he was only pulled up to highlight how pathetic the kneeling rules are. His widycator was broken and kept falling off, so teqnicly he was returning the rifle back to how it started the comp. It's the summer league so nice and relaxed to encourage new shooters to join in and learn how to cheat ,I mean compete. I think his clear was better than Ian jerrams , Ian did not have the constant barracing that gillie had. And yes barracing is against the rules as well , so about 10 people infringed on that rule.
All adding up to an excellent mornings shooting thanks purley.

    summer rules

I think it would be a great addition to the summer comp if at the end of the shoot everyone pulled their lane in to the firing line. Takes a couple of minutes and saves the club at least an hour and that's an extra hour they get to enjoy their day.
Good to see you out there again William, strutting your stuff.

I don't see why it wouldn't kill the pm shooters to do it, after all they have had a lie in:)

    not what i ment

I was suggesting it would not work if Am got the targets in, I don't think anyone would object to getting in two targets.
It should be made law for the MFTA summer league and if we did it at Greyhound they might put them back out in different places:eek::eek:
Well done on the score yesterday as well, B grade ringer springs to mind.
