I think millride has improved a lot for lefties with the winding path up through the woods. It does not help being fat and left handed , maybe millride could hire a bacon slicer for us chubbier shooters. I don't think the lie of the land is the problem it's more target placement from a right handers eye line that causes me most issues. Your not supposed to use the course for support during a comp and sometimes I end up wrapped around a tree that would not cause an issue for a rightie shooters. When we shoot back down the bank at millride they are cracking leftie targets.
Rough with the smooth, I say.

HFT has a few high and low ;) high profile lefty shooters who shall we say have occasionally brought this to the setters attention :D over recent years. I think most clubs do give this serious consideration when placing targets now, it is an area that has improved a lot in recent years. But it is difficult for a right handed course setter to always see it through both left and right handed eyes.

Fairly new at the comp scene and not shot a lot of different courses but fully appreciate the efforts of the dedicated few that give up shooting time to set courses for others to enjoy! So thanks to all that do!

In answer to the original poster - surely the answer is more left handed volunteer course setters, who can help to balance out the odds/bias if any etc.

Yep that would be nice ,

fyi , national courses are checked by both handers on the morning of the comp to validate fairness , this obviously helps

I've shot one or two courses that were heavily biased towards the left handed shooter to make it harder for the "majority" of normal people! ;)

... And in any case 200 years ago leftys would have been dunked in a canal, if they didn't drown it ment they were witches and were burnt at the stake.
And now they want equality? Pfffft it's all to PC for me:)
Ban them or burn them I say:)
