Just a big thanks to all those that came down to Meon today, we hope you all had a good time and hope you'll come again for our second open later on in the year:) Also another big thanks to all those that helped out setting the course and the running of the day, judging from all the smiling faces the balance between straight forward and downright nasty was just right :D:D

To all those that won beer today I have received an email from the brewery stating that it may well be a faulty batch and should not be consumed...If all those concerned could PM me I will send you my...erm...I mean the breweries returns department address where it can be sent back to for "testing" ;):D:D:D

    A cracking day all round:)

    All the best

    Vince :)

I just want to reiterate what Vin has said.... a huge thanks to all those who helped out this weekend and to Mike for towing the burger van this weekend...... Oh and the Bull that was loose around the area Sat Night, Sun Morning....knocking the toilet over... and breaking a couple of things!!!:eek:

I hope everyone enjoyed it.... and I for one had a proper giggle with a great bunch of people this weekend.:D

Also take no notice of Vin... he's just jealous he didn't get any beer!!!! :p

Thank You to everyone for travelling down for our Open!!!
The Results are now up HERE

Thanks to all the MVAC crew this was my favourite shoot in the last year that I have been shooting:D

Also I need to extend big thanks to Chris, Rik and of course Dink(for being supportive during my anguish), five lanes from the end disaster struck....my gun would not cock, after desperate attempts I shut my scope covers and prepared for retirement for the day. However coming off peg 30 Chris got me to check it again and woohoo it worked.

That was not the end of it, after the trek back to peg 1 all in position and it happened again, this time Rik to the rescue after I thought it must be a fault with the action and bolt Rik noticed the simple problem....the scope cover had slipped round during the day and was just stopping the bolt from coming all the way back:eek:

:eek:Don't I feel like a complete plank!- Can I claim that it was a new scope and I had not got completely used to it????

But thanks to all, what a great day.

What can I saythat has not alrerady been said, great course, great company, great food, great weather and beer in the raffle!!!
A big thank you to all at Meon for a good day out.

And what about the shoot off 40 yards standing with a springer and a borrowed pellet which matched neither weight or manufacturer of the pellet which the gun was zeroed with.
What can I say Mr Turner you are truly a remarkable shot.
