ok people are march scopes really that good ?
I have a big nikko and its just not for me (personal preference)
I was thinking of maybe getting a 10-60x52 (2nd hand im not rich :( )
although im new to FT I want to stick with it for a long while :)
I am working on the principle of buy well buy once so after some advice from present and past march owners
    thanks in advance
    peter

I've actually never heard or seen one for sale 2nd hand, perhaps that may answer your question.

Hmm... toughy. I had the first one on the circuit, and you won't prise it off me. But it's not a wonder machine... it still needs working and knowing where it shifts.

Optically wise it's superb in tough conditions where it really pays. But then is it worth 7 x £300 debens? Hmm.

I prefer many of the characteristics of the 10-60 (weight, price and scope tube size) to the 80...

I don't think there's a straight answer. If you can say something specific about the range finding issues you are having now, and what your current performance and expectations are it might help to narrow the grey areas down a bit.

    Why March ?

I may be wrong but these scopes have not been that successful, compared with leups and big nikko,s.

I only have HFT scopes but my Sightron has glass equally as stunning as my March.....

I don't shoot FT but i have 'played' with my big Nikko for years and it astounds me everytime i use it, to see just how accurate the rangefinding is! :D

it does range find I just don't like the small gap between 50 and 55 and and would prefer something different ive heard the march scopes are good and like I say I fancy sticking with FT so think imo it makes good sense to me to invest in a good scope

    Quite correct

I'm sure if Connor did the GP series then they would be classed as successful, but nobody with a March has won a series.
Of coarse there are far more Leups and nikkos out there but the fact remains that not much has been won with a march.
And lets face it Connor is a lucky Irishman:D
To the OP what big nikko do you have?
If it's a MK3 then it may be one of the bad batch that went out a couple of years back, think the box said new version on it.

    40 comp all the way

If you are serious about FT get a 35/40 comp then when you decide you are not serious about FT you will get your money back;)
