Does anybody know of a good spot for beach/rocks/pier etc sea fishing around the Maldon area? and if there are any tackle/bait shops in the area?

    Cheers

    Cool Dave.

Yeah Louise and i are going to head down early Saturday morning and quickly throw the tent up at M.A.D, then head into Maldon for a spot of sea fishing and have a look at where the Battle of Maldon was etc

    Missed it's
A bit of beach casting maybe,at the back of Osea Road caravan park, Just outside of Maldon, on the Goldhanger road, Private road to a private Island, but people fish off there.
Tackle shop in Maldon High st, and in Heybridge village (on the way to the above).
    About 7 miles from MAD.

Not sure of the tides this weekend, last weekend high tide was about 5.00am/pm.
