[xFLOAT=left]http://shooting-the-breeze.com/internal/logos/mad.jpg[/xFLOAT] Maldon And District OPEN 2nd May The course was hard, the wind was unpredictable and the rain was persistent, all the ingredients for a good monthlt club shoot. Great to see Darren back on form taking top honours with a clear win over Mr Doughnut himself Geoff Ryder, who was happy to tell everyone that he would have been in a shoot-off for first if only he hadn't got the dreaded doughnut. Unusual to see Doppa outside the top 3 let alone the top 10, but it didn't impress the handicap secretary of the Wednesday evening shoots (which start this week) who clearly thought that it was a poor effort to get a handicap higher than scratch. Most people will be starting on the course about 6pm. This is all done on a handicap system, up to a maximum of 10, so everybody is in with a chance of winning.
