    July Open

This was the home leg of our inter-club competition with Meon Valley.
Attended by 60 people who found a short but very difficult course layout only making use of the bottom end of the woodland, in conjunction with the wind blowing strongly in several directions at the same time.
For the inter-club result, the highest ladies score and the highest 5 open scores were combined to give the closest of finishes, with Meon taking the win by 1 point. Well done to all of you.
The other winner on the day was Shaun Eustace, who was trying to tell everyone before the comp that he was having problems getting used to his new stock then goes out and shoots a PB, some problems!!! well done.

Well done to Meon and well done to Shaun on his win today will be asking him what the hell he did to beat the wind today, it had me foxed, great weekend though not sure if i want to shoot the double header at M.A.D after that result, must try harder or drink more Stella.

Recount .... we did top 6 in the open and top lady...

    So Mad had 57-Shaun, 55-Simon, 54-Ray ,53,53,53 (there were a few!) and 41-Jean 366
    Meon 54-Vin, 54-Mike,54-Roy, 54-Steph, 49-Alan, 48-norman and 54-Janine. 367

Ian counted the scores, I double checked the book to make sure hadn't missed anyone.... With Ray as intermediary.

Get that trophy back where it belongs

You cant trust a women CAN YOU ?????????????????
Jean is a lovely lady but she an;t been passed by the commitee to be able to apply for membership[if thats what you have to do to get into MAD]
So it looks like there has been a mistake, you may all say I added the scores up which I did ,but I was fed these scores by a lady and I was always told YOU CAN TRUST A LADY.
All them MEON lot never stopped laughing and jeering at us yesterday at the presentation of the inter club shield, all I can say is just you wait till next year.
    cheers Ian
