Now that Harald Ros has retired , does anyone else in Europe do REticle changes to Leupold scopes , seem to remember another site once upon a time ???

Leupold in the U.S. Really need to get their act together and stop treating European shooters like lepers; this export ban on scopes is ridiculous. :eek:o

    Hi Alan

Just had a reply from Leup America this morning

To change reticules on my two target dots, no problem fill in the on line form from the Leupold site and send over.

    4 week turn around

    Cheers

    Rob

Leupold US must have changed their stance recently, last time I tried to get a reticle change in a x40 competition scope they would not entertain it.

They did. About a year ago. They've been back and forth on the issue before. So it might be a good time to jump.

However, they've also added a TMR reticle or something like that to the Comp series in the Custom shop, so they might be in it to stay for a while.

    Tmr reticle

The Tmr reticle is on the comp series page but the scope on that page is not a comp series.
I emailed them to ask the question but have not received a reply.
I think the issue with the high mag scopes was adding mildots, for some reason they don't like to export that spec.
The TMR looks perfect for FT so would be interested to hear if anyone has one on a comp series.

Is there anybody that will work on leups with the premier booster on?

If you send it to leupold they will take the booster off and not put it back on?!

Is there an optics specialist, in UK or other country in Europe, to undertake changing the REticle (finecrosshair or targetdot) to Leupold competition series scope.?
Not neccecerily installing the original leupold TMR reticle but a similar one, wind type or mildot reticle even of another manufacturer.

Not to my knoweledge, I had mine done (TMR to a Leup 40x45) through the UK distributer for Leupold which is Viking Arms. Did take a very long time 6-8 months I think but I was told 28 days.
Might be worth giving them a bell as I know they told me back in April this year that the European service centre was due to open very soon.
