Anybody use a leup 50ft adapter on a big nikko? I was looking at the pictures of the worlds recently, and noticed a few people using them. What are the advantages?
I have just got one for my Sightron, The advantage is that if your scope doesn't focus down to 8 yards (most don't without being re parallaxed) you can use the adapter to focus on / and therefore range the close targets. Atb, Alec.
But it is pretty important that the lens is mounted perpendicular to the optical axis of the scope, otherwise you may lose your zero in both planes when you are using it. I prefer to use mine for rangefinding then swing it out of the way and refocus with the bare scope. Mine will go down to 11 yards with no loss of definition and the sight picture gets a bit blurry closer than that.
