Ok, we have the admission that one HFT shooter is trying to shift the winter plumage, and at the weekend I bumped into an FT shooter who was doing the same for the new national season. Knowing a 10m shooter who's also got a healthy attitude to exercise, I wonder how many out there are hitting the road, or avoiding the burger van in the pursuit of points?

The whole point of HFT is to test the burgers, the shooting is just a side event:D:D:D

I clicked "I'm trimming and slimming specifically to make shooting easier/better", I am trimming and slimming for that reason but also to ease the stresses and strains of my generally abused body and hopefully make recovery from a weekend of shooting, hard day at work, energetic shagging, etc quicker:) I've dropped a stone already through healthy eating and once I get back out on my bike again hope to lose a load more:)

I have done the same its the nearest option I can find.

Have definately been putting on the Winter coat Dads scale let out a very loud groan as I bent the neddle round the end  ). Just wish it could be lighter in the evenings, by the time I get home its dark and since my bike accident I am nervous on the roads as it is.

Am trying to shift at least 2-3 stone by mid June and then another by Christmas to get to a reasonable number.

    Close enough for Government work...

    I clicked on

"I'm trimming and slimming specifically to make shooting easier/better"

because it's the closest to "If I don't lose some weight things are going to get nasty". Perhaps I need to stay away from the computer until I've got some serious bike time in every day. Whatever, I need to lose some weight and it can only help my shooting. Oh , and I took advantage of Lent to pledge off the booze for a while...

I spent years keeping slim for the Tae-Kwon-Do, Running every day watching what I ate.

I am now nearly 40 and even though I could do with loosing a few pounds I really can't be arsed. My view is, if the weight stops you doing what you love, then loose it.

If you can carry on shooting and running and jumping about and still be fat and have a burger then why change.

I lost two stone last year and am much happier at 16st 10ish. Being fitter would certainly help me but after spending my mid teens to early twenties avoiding unhealthy stuff I'm making up for lost time by smoking and drinking loads as well as eating whatever the hell I want! Like Vin it'd be good to recover quicker but as long as I keep my core strength up I'll be happy.

Either way I'm the lightest I've been since 18 it's just the weight is distributed differently!:D

Started my diets 4 weeks ago and lost 5 lbs the first week put on 4 in the second and held steady for the last 2. I cant exercise as i have a knackered heart wich means lots of meds but I love hft so I have to try and find a happy medium. Don't drink the amount I used to especially the night before a comp, infact I have started drinking alcohol free the night before to see if it makes any difference. There are many healthy shooters out there but lets face it the top shots in ft and hft are hardly using the ADONIS look are they (sorry sparky):D should have said spartan look:p:eek:

RIGHT! You lot have inspired me to try yet again to shift some of this insulation. Chicken salad tonight & my boots are going on for a yomp up the hill now.
134kg at my last weigh in, see if I can get down to 100 for July & the Euskadi Open, watch this space.
Perhaps we could have a STB slimming club!

Well that's decided it, my computer chair has just broken & tipped me to the floor. If ever there was a sign that was it, either I'm too fat or I spend too much time on the PC. Time for a walk!
