Just to let you all know that I've sent a email to Pete and Jane and resigned from course setting at the world's,the reason for this is I will be 66 at the weekend and I,'ve been involved since the world's began and I think it s time I move over for someone new to get involved,New ideas so some good times to come. I've met some lovely people from home and away, the polish lads who all ways got the yardage after each year, the Dutch lads and lasses such fun they were .
After the success of Rudy at the age of 15 next year it may be the turn of the old age pensioners .
Anyway I wish all them hundreds of people who have shot my courses all the very best and I,'ll see you all shooting some time.
Last but not least I wish Pete and Jane and the world's every success in the future I'll be shooting next year for a change and looking forward to it already.
    Cheers Ian Bainbridge

Ian, I'm sure I speak for many of the shooters who have enjoyed your courses, both at Kelmarsh and at MAD, when I say I'm sorry to see you go. Thanks for all the effort you've put in over the years.

It's good to know that you will be back as a shooter next year, looking forward to your company again.

    All the best.

Thank you Ian, you are a top course setter and your range traps cost me a few points! :eek:o but I was looking forward to learning from my mistakes next year!
All the best and hope you enjoy doing a bit more chilling and shooting!

    Thanks again

    Ian,

As I told you in Kelmarsh, the course you set there was absolute evil.
We hate to see you go as a course setter.
On the other hand, perhaps now you'll have more time to shoot yourself.
We'd love it to shoot with you sometimes. We think we can learn a lot from you.
    Hope to see you again.

    Ian,

    Thank you.

I met you for the first time on Alpha, Sunday pm.

I was on the the open field peg, hedge to the right, huge field left with rape growing. I ranged it at 30 yards.

Your comments on my ranging will have me chuckling for a long time.

I wish you all the very best:)

I hope your successor is equally as devilish, and maybe you will get some of your own medicine :D
    All the best to you!

    Good luck

Well that's a bit of a shock, but I suppose all good things come to an end eventually!

Good luck to you next year when you finally get to shoot the Worlds and good luck to whoever sets the second course. They have an extremely tough act to follow.

Can't really put it any better than that Ian. It's always a pleasure to see you mate and i think we should just remind everyone that Ian was instrumental in the MAD combo shoots that raised enough money for 8 Junior combo's alone. See you soon mate.:)

Ian, thanks for your hard work and legendary course setting abilities. Are you going to write your memoirs now you have retired? Perhaps called 'from 8 to 45 ways to cook up a doughnut':)

Well I have only shot one day at the worlds and don't know who you are but as I help out at my club with course setting and know it is hard work to try and please all the shooters and that is only a club shoot not a Worlds competition so I take my hat off to you and wish you well. Darran.

Ian that's fantastic news that your going to take time out for yourself. You have invested so much providing top level courses for everyone else it's about time you got to enjoy shooting again. Your courses will be sadly missed...as many of your targets have been. Big shoes to fill but like you say, it gives others a chance to develop.
Many happy returns for the weekend.

Also I am extremely pleased to hear you will be taking time out for yourself, you deserve it.

    All the best,
