Below is a picture of the Lasheras Family that shot FT competitively back in the 80's:

They had some very nice guns...

JJ (the Father) had an underlever Ken Turner made stainless steel gun, his wife (Shirley) had a break barrel, the kids had Venom tuned guns.

The underlever, ended up in Bill Sanders collection, as described here by Terry Doe (with some inconsistencies, as the gun was actually made for JJ not Bill, Bill was left-handed):

Does anyone know what happened with that break barrel gun?

Does anyone have any information on any other stainless steel Ken Turner guns?

They look like works of art and are an important part of British airgun history as other important guns such as TX200, ProElite, ProSport started off as stainless steel guns made by Ken, who also had some input into the Venom Mach 1 and 2 guns, and the Venom Mach 1 trigger. It would be nice to know what happened with them...

I have heard that JJ and his family had to suddenly leave the UK and have auctioned all their shooting gear off. I have also found this thread with a lovely JJ Lasheras HW80 which was sold at auction:

    A Class Act...

JJ was a hair dresser, I guess this makes it a hair dressers gun [IMG]

The Whiscombe and the underlever in the magazine article both have Dave Kobayashi stocks, and the Whiscombe was also commissioned by JJ, he had good taste...

Interesting guns, it would be great if someone had some information about them.

JJ must have been a heck of a successful hairdresser, all of those rifles individually are pure class, as a collection they are amazing.

I'll bet they are all out there somewhere, snuggled up in collections.

Shirley was the hair dresser, JJ was a company director.

They went back to Spain due to family illness.

JJ and his son's are very much still shooting, although its now world championship paintball

Thanks for that Daz. Do you have any idea what happened to their guns? It would be nice to know what happened to that break barrel...

That would match up with what Baz said on 'the other forum', he bought a break barrel, stainless steel HW80 lookalike from a gunshop in Biggin Hill which isn't a million miles away from Gatwick...
