Over the last few days I've been setting up a Kahles scope on my Ripper only set upto 45 yards as of yet not had time to go down farm to set up all the ranges, early tested this scope is amazing big gaps range finds better than anything i have ever used. Clear as a bell range finds better than my sightron or my nikko gaps are huge. top focus so easy to use which at first i thought was odd, but now its easy standing to range find is easy to just use your thumb. look out for these scopes when they come available, Matt Hirst has the final production model now with the FT reticle, so thanks to Matt and Kahles for letting me try this scope and ill keep you posted when i have fully set it up and give you my thoughts.

Interesting info Kev, I am really intrigued by this scope and have been looking at brief reports Matt has been posting online.

I'll be interested to see how you get on with it at competitions.

Hi I tired the scope for the first time in a comp yesterday, at harriers MFTA summer league 2, scope performed with out a fault just the nut behind the trigger. The scope range perfect without a fault, check the ranges will my fellow shooter after we both shot our lane and we almost agreed on every target, scope focused in the dark trees to in the open field with ease, I range my standers standing just looping finger round front mount and with my thumb the wheel round and focused on the target so easy I never missed a stander or kneeler just my sitting that let me down. All I have to do now is a friend is making a smaller wheel around 75mm as you don t need a big wheel the gaps are big enough and then get it set up 100%.

With it having the parallax wheel on the top it reminds me of one of those helicopter things we had as a kid. You used to pull a a nylon cord and it would take off lol.
Still I bet it's better than the schmidt FT MK2. :)

    spec sheet

Looking at the BKL mounts I'm guessing that it has a 30mm tube ?
What kind of money are these going to be when they hit the market ?
Are we talking minion money or mortgage?

Matt Hirst told me they'll be about £2300. Having tried the prototypes and Matts production model I will be having one.

    Buy it quick

    Chris
You had better buy it quick they are getting more expensive by the post.
If they do the job they are intended for I'm sure they will sell.
Just wondering if I can turn my big nikko so the wheels on top.

Matt said that some retailers may knock a few quid off but expect them to be around £2300. I've tried just about all the scopes out there and it's the only scope I've tried where I want one regardless of cost. At GP1 I tried Matts and made the same target repeat in the exact place on the wheel every time. It doesn't snap like a Nikko and doesn't come in slowly like a Comp either. I would say it's a soft snap but I had no problem knowing if it was in or out.

Nearly made an expensive mistake. The pics Early in the thread look like the Uttings offering the k1050 and not like the K1050i FT above. Apologies for my hasty post!
