My 8 year old son is starting to express a slight interest in shooting, (wonder why :D) he will be 9 in May so can start shooting down the club & possibly in events, what's the lightest rifle on the market with 30 decent shots ?

AA S4/500 superlight? I don't think the bsa ultra has enough decent shots & I'd rather not buy twice

Also, how much help are you able to give them when shooting ??

Second that a air arms s200 is great for a 9 year old my lad is 9 and has been shooting a year now. He is getting better with each comp he does and he did he's first worlds last week. Even got some targets I didn't get.

S200 or if you can find one the logun solo is definitely worth a look! Ultra is good too but needs a reg or a scorpion reservoir to be on the safe side for a HFT comp.

Wayne, that is most kind, if it's OK I will take you up on that, at least he can get a feel to see if he can get on with it :)
I can bring my MPR for you to look after until it's returned.

Many thanks everyone else, looking like a 200
