Just to add, James has confirmed he'll be doing the 10m competition as well. Just thought i'd clear it up as it's mentioned he's doing the 3 position but the PR didn't mention the air rifle.

So there we go. A teenage dream to Olympic machine in under 8 years. If they let me in with my 300mm lens, we'll have some pics of him in action as well.

Well done James:D We're behind you all the way.

Even back in 2005, as a 14 year old, he was rinsing the adults at HFT for Lea Valley.
Just shows that true world-class talent can and does emerge from the grassroots disciplines,

HFT as an Olympic sport in my lifetime? Hope so:)

Does show that, and his competing at the top level is inspirational to many a newcomer to shooting, and some of the old hands. A great reward for the enormous amount of work and dedication it's taken to get there. Raw talent is a good head start, but somewhere along the way it takes way much more.

I remember competing against James in the juniors at the FT Worlds in 2005. He came second and I came third. I thought at the time that it was a great achievement for him because although I'd been doing FT shooting for over a year at that point, he'd mainly been doing HFT so had less experience. It was quite clear then to me that he would go far.

Well done James, all the best mate. Go get a Gold!
