Someone I know -- wait, no, let me rephrase that. A grandson of someone quite a few of you would have known, may well be 'in the market' for an airgun club near where he lives... which is in Thetford, Norfolk. His name, by the way, is Harvey Monck. Yes, THAT Monck. So we better sort him out good, or the Ghost of Dave will come and haunt us, and speak to us harshly. And I assure you we would loose substantial quantities of sleep if Dave's ghost would haunt us to speak to us harshly. ;)

    Any recommendations?

    thanks in advance,
    peter

Closest I can find is Broadlands near Norwich.

The very club Dave helped create! 1985 I think.

true, that. But a bit of a stretch from Thetford, if I got the map of England in my head right... or am I wrong?

Thanks guys. I thought that this region was a bit low on gun clubs.

As Harvey doesn't have a driving license yet, and is dependent upon his parents to get him to the club, I am afraid that Broadlands wouldn't be an option.

I think you summed it up nicely.
Dave Hoare's ghost, on his own, is fairly civil... the friendly, yet very observant giant, who knew what you were thinking. Always.
Dave Monck's ghost, on his own, is mildly acidic. The cheerful, stubby, limping hobbit who had a perfect grasp on protocol and who had The Rules Of The Game down to a tee.

Together, they are lethal... more than the sum of their parts.

While I would say that there are too many Dave's in shooting, I would also say that I wouldn't want to do without them.

Its nice to know that the two Dave's have not been forgotten.
We where just talking about hem both at the club (Sunday). Both Dave's (and John) started our club. I'm not sure if Lyn has moved but if not Harvey is always welcome at Midshires.
